Machu Picchu translates from Quechua to Old Mountain, hence our company name. This magical place has inspired people from around the globe to travel to Peru.

We are a Peruvian-Canadian family, currently based in Saskatoon, Canada. Our love of outdoor adventures brought us together in Cusco, and our experiences in Peru inspired this travel agency. We want to help people experience the best of Peru, at whatever pace works for you. We can help you plan full packages, complete with hotels and transportation, or help you fill in the blanks with experiences you don’t want to miss.

In Peru, Gilbert was an adventure sport guide, and we met on a three-day white water rafting adventure on the Apurimac River. The Apurimac River and white water rafting were central in our lives for several years while we lived, and eventually married, in Peru. Rachel also gained experience in tourism by working in travel agencies, and training as a rafting guide. We moved to Canada in 2011 with our beloved hairless dog Sipan, and our son, Silvio, was born in 2014.

While your time in Peru may not be complete without a visit to Machu Picchu, we are happy to tell you about alternate archaeological sites and unreal places that you may want to visit. Get in touch with us online or in person (if you happen to be in Saskatoon).
